Brick repointing is the process of restoring fretted mortar back to its original condition.
Mortar pointing is a specialized skill in bringing structural integrity and aesthetics back into fretted brick work. Using industry specific tools, we clean out the courses, inject the new mortar in-between the bricks and finish to match the existing profile.
Perth Brick and Limestone Repointing use an Australian standard mix and colour match with quality oxides to give the most seamless finish as possible.
What causes fretting?
- Extreme weather
- Reticulation
- Weak/poor mortar mix
- Moisture issues
- salt migration
How do we fix it?
Fretted mortar is rectified by repointing between the bricks with an Australian Standard (AS3700) mortar mix with coloured oxide and specific tools to finish for a seamless finish. The fretted areas are cleaned out to give optimum adhesion for the new mortar.
Perth Brick and Limestone Repointing is so confident about the quality of their work that we stand by our work with a 10 year guarantee.
